EXAMINATION

"An examination involves assessment of knowledge of the subject matters prescribed by the curriculum."Remodeled assessment structure effective from the Academic year 2017-18 will be based on the following guidelines.

K.G. SECTION

The Assessment structure and Examination for Classes L.K.G. and U.K.G. comprises of three exams:
A. Quarterly Exam. 50 Marks
B. Half-yearly Exam. 50 Marks
C. Annual Exam. 50 Marks

CLASSES - I-VIII

The Assessment structure and Examination for Classes I to VIII comprises of two terms: Term-1 and Term-2 as explained below.

TERM-1

I. Periodic Assessment: One Periodic Test will be conducted and students need to secure minimum 33% in each subject.
a. Periodic Test. 10 Marks
b. Note Book Submission. 05 Marks
c. Subject Enrichment Activities.(ASL, Reading, Dictation, Debate, Public Speaking etc. for language, Lab-Activities, Projects, Map Work, Model Making, Field Trips etc. for other subjects) 05 Marks

II. Half yearly Exam: Written Exam. 80 marks

TERM-2

I. Periodic Assessment: As explained above. 20 marks
II. Annual Examination: Written Exam 80 marks
a. Classes I-II : Only Term-2 syllabus.
b. Classes III-VI : 10% of Term-1 + entire syllabus of Term-2.
c. Class VII : 20% of Term-1 + entire syllabus of Term-2.
d. Class VIII : 30% of Term-1 + entire syllabus of Term-2.

Minimum 75% of attendance is mandatory to appear in each Exam.

CLASSES IX-X

The Assessment structure and Examination for Classes IX-X will be as follows.
I. Internal Assessment: Three Periodic Tests will be conducted and students need to secure minimum 33% in each subject.
a. Periodic Tests. (Pre- Mid Term, Mid Term & Post-Mid Term) 10 Marks
b. Note Book Submission. 05 Marks
c. Subject Enrichment Activities.(ASL, Reading, Dictation, Debate, Public Speaking etc. for language, Lab-Activities, Projects, Map Work, Model Making, Field Trips etc. for other subjects) 05 Marks
II. Annual Examination: It will be conducted covering 100% portion at the end of the year and students need to secure minimum 27 marks (33%) out of 80 in each subject.

CLASSES XI-XII

The Assessment structure and Examination for Classes XI-XII comprises of two Unit Tests and three exams:
a. Unit Test-I 10 Marks
b. Quarterly Exam. 30 Marks
c. Unit Test-II 10 Marks
d. Half-yearly Exam. 100 Marks
e. Annual Exam. 100 Marks

1. Students absenting themselves from any of these examinations are not reexamined, whatever may be the reason. Student will not be promoted to the next class without appearing for the annual examination.
2. The result of examinations is final, and will not be reconsidered.
3. The progress report of those students who fail in three or more subjects in the annual examination should be collected directly from the Principal by their parent within three days of the declaration of the result.
4. Answer sheets of periodic tests are shown to the parents for the improvements of their wards. Parents are expected to contact the class teacher within the scheduled time period for the same. Answers scripts of final examinations are not shown.
5. Minimum 75% of attendance is mandatory for a child to appear in each Exam.
